Welcome Night
This is just a reminder that we're only about two days away from the Welcome Night and Information Session!
At this kickoff event, we'll provide an extensive introduction to both the contest in general and the specific challenge that is put
forward in the RFP. Guest speakers include Dr. Kieran Carroll (Chief Technology Officer, Gedex) and Dr. Chris Damaren (Associate Professor
and Vice-Dean of Graduate Studies, University of Toronto).
This year, we're also very excited to announce our partnership with the Department of Astronomy & Astrophysics at U of T. After our guest
speakers give you an introduction to NEOs, we'll be heading over to the McLennan Physical Labs for a brief presentation by Dr. Anne-Marie
Weijmans followed by a night of stargazing through a number of telescopes provided by the Astronomy Department.
Please RSVP for the Welcome Night by e-mailing ask@utspace.com and indicating the number of guests.
Students, parents, and teachers are all welcome to attend!
